Her baking hobby grew into a business when she realized what a demand there was for her cookies and cupcakes. She quit her day job to open the east Memphis bakery on Leap Day of 2008, and word quickly spread that it was the perfect place to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Muddy’s is a Memphis treasure! Everything I have had there has just been wonderful. Particularly like the unusual flavors like the rosemary cookies.
I love that many of the cupcakes have “wink-wink” names like the Truman Capote which is a nod to the Black and White Ball. I feel smart in more ways than one when I go to Muddy’s!
